He joined us recently for a meeting of minds held for users and choosers of safety footwear.   Rob focuses on the science behind slip resistance in footwear and its potential to be an inexpensive but highly effective contribution to safety in the workplace. He also talks about misleading standards and the importance of designing safety footwear that performs way beyond the basic guidelines. Rob concludes by emphasising the importance of trialling footwear in the workplace and ensuring that both wearers and specifiers are consulted in the selection process. **Rob Shaw is a Falls Prevention Specialist for the Healthy & Safety Laboratory** To find out about a free footwear trial for your business **Call +44 (0) 1249 651 900 or email:** [**sales@V12footwear.com**](mailto:trial@V12footwear.com) If you can’t view the video, download it [here](http://v12footwear.com/wp-content/themes/v12/im/V12_RobShaw.mp4.zip).
