Using V12 Footwear’s 25 years of passion and experience in making the highest-performing work boots for the agriculture industry, we’re thrilled and proud to announce the arrival of our lightest and most comfortable safety dealer boot. It's the lightest. The strongest. It gives comfort all day. It's the Cotswold.
And after a year of intense development, cross-team collaboration, streamlining, innovating and refining, it’s ready to change the game for Agri workers.
So how did we take our vision for the most comfortable dealer on the market and turn it into reality by producing the Cotswold, a boot which will surely revolutionise safety dealer comfort?
Comfort in safety footwear isn’t about packing a product with padding or cushioning. If you want to get serious about comfort, you need to start with weight reduction.
Did you know?
And this is why decreasing the footwear weight for work boot wearers can make a massive difference to comfort, foot health, productivity and general well-being.
Light work boots aren’t just a ‘nice to have.’ With the correct fit, they can prevent issues such as foot fatigue, tired and heavy legs, joint strain, and of course loss of safety focus through discomfort.
The Cotswold weighs in at just 658g, which is considerably lighter compared to other safety dealers on the market.
To reduce weight, we used a lighter than rubber TPU sole, and ensured the Cotswold had a metal-free construction. Its lightweight fiberglass toecap and composite midsole means that while Cotswold is heavy on hazards, it’s anything but heavy on the feet!
To compliment the reduced weight of Cotswold, we then turned our attention to Cotswold's shock-absorbing properties, so wearers got excellent bounce-back and cushioned comfort. Because TPU is a flexible, elastic and 'spongey' material, each step gives the wearer a cloud-like walking experience.
Did you know?
The sole of the Cotswold is resistant to oil and cow manure (oleic acid)?
Added to this, because TPU is an extremely hardwearing material - 5 times more abrasion-resistant than rubber in fact - it means the Cotswold’s sole gives long-lasting, high-performing traction even in the harshest environments. And if there's a sector that's got plenty of those - it's agri.
What does a farmer most need their work boot to provide? Protection? Durability? Grip? Of course, but for V12, these are all a given, and come as standard. With the Cotswold, we wanted people working in hazardous, harsh working conditions to have industry-leading, top-tier comfort. So how else did we elevate Cotswold comfort to the max?
V12’s Energyse II shock-absorbing insole are snuggly ensconced at the bottom of every pair of Cotswolds, and they offer superb cushioning and an open-cell foam which returns to its original shape after use. The result? Cotswold gives top-level comfort time and time again.
You could be walking on grass, mud, sand or stones, but in the Cotswold, you’ll think you’re walking on air!
We’re so confident in the comfort of these boots, we've created the Cotswold Comfort Guarantee. This special warranty means you can return them within 30 days if they aren’t the most comfortable safety dealers you've ever worn. (TS&CS on the website)
We’ve taken the STSTM sole unit - a highly innovative non-clogging, non-slip tread and slimmed down the profile, so there’s been a reduction in weight and heft, but no compromise on grip. This new scaled-back outsole also leaves more of the boot’s luxurious upper on display!
Did you know?
The STSTM sole was designed specifically for wearers working on natural, loose and unstable terrain such as sand, mud and gravel, so their grip and stability is maximised, and trip and slip risks reduced.
With a classic dealer style, plus a soft but hard-wearing Nubuck with a dark, lustrous look, it really doesn’t get more stylish than the Cotswold. And for added convenience, Cotswold has even got large pull loops to give the wearer a quick and easy on-off.
Whether you’re on the farm, in the farm shop, or in the pub after a long day, with Cotswold, you’ll always be in the right boot.
