Having announced the launch of the Caiman, our ‘new breed of boot’, in August, we are now excited to release a closer look at this versatile safety boot in it’s natural environment. The film has been produced in the style of a David Attenborough Natural World documentary and features a voiceover by Paul Burling, a British impressionist and Britain’s Got Talent finalist.
Our in-house design team works tirelessly to develop footwear that is optimized for challenging working environments. That’s why we’re really excited to be introducing the new Caiman – fully waterproof, lightweight and incredibly durable.

Is SRC the best slip rating for the work place?

Whilst time, effort and money is spent on choosing good footwear, the humble sock seems to be an afterthought. This, despite the fact that good socks are important for comfort, breathability and heat retention. Moreover they can also help wearers avoid foot problems which otherwise can seriously affect people working in active jobs.
Most of the leather used in the manufacture of safety footwear falls into two categories, bovine hides which are a by-product of beef production and Buffalo hides which are sourced mainly from the Punjab area of North India. Both are robust enough to withstand the rigours of the challenging environments in which our customers wear V12 boots.
Car tyres, military footwear or serious walking boots – they all benefit from the superior grip and durability that rubber offers.

The College of Podiatry recently published a reporting confirming what many of us at V12 have suspected for years – namely that our feet are getting bigger. The report highlighted that in just forty years, the nation’s average feet have increased by two shoes sizes. Once a size 14 shoe branded a man a giant. Now boots in sizes 12,13 and 14 are common place.
