We want our wearers to stay on their feet and out of the slips statistics, which is why we spent two years developing the IGSTM (Intelligent Grip System) sole unit. Using tyre technology, industry experts and extensive customer feedback, we came up with a sole that:  - Stops you slipping with a water-dispersing hexagonal tread - Reduces tripping with an angled heel strike - Keeps you safe when working at height with strong ladder grips  [![E1300.01 Defiant IGS](https://blog.v12footwear.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Defiant.png?width=330&height=273&name=Defiant.png)](https://v12footwear.com/products/defiant-igs-s3-hro-high-leg-zip-boot?_pos=1&_sid=b306feda2&_ss=r&variant=39508788838594) The result? Unbelievable grip.  So watch to get to know this revolutionary sole unit better.  Gripping not slipping: V12’s safety hi-leg [E1300.01 Defiant](https://v12footwear.com/products/defiant-igs-s3-hro-high-leg-zip-boot?_pos=1&_sid=b306feda2&_ss=r&variant=39508788838594) – its IGSTM sole unit is trusted by wearers across the country in the energy sector to keep them stable on wet, slippery man made surfaces.    Share on:   [![Share on Facebook](https://static.hubspot.com/final/img/common/icons/social/facebook-24x24.png)](http://www.facebook.com/share.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fblog.v12footwear.com%2Fwhats-the-best-grip-for-slippery-surfaces%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Dfacebook) [![Share on LinkedIn](https://static.hubspot.com/final/img/common/icons/social/linkedin-24x24.png)](http://www.linkedin.com/shareArticle?mini=true&url=https%3A%2F%2Fblog.v12footwear.com%2Fwhats-the-best-grip-for-slippery-surfaces%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Dlinkedin) [![Share on Twitter](https://static.hubspot.com/final/img/common/icons/social/twitter-24x24.png)](https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?original_referer=https%3A%2F%2Fblog.v12footwear.com%2Fwhats-the-best-grip-for-slippery-surfaces%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Dtwitter&url=https%3A%2F%2Fblog.v12footwear.com%2Fwhats-the-best-grip-for-slippery-surfaces%3Futm_medium%3Dsocial%26utm_source%3Dtwitter&source=tweetbutton&text=What%E2%80%99s%20the%20Best%20Grip%20for%20Slippery%20Surfaces%3F) [View All Blogs](https://blog.v12footwear.com/) ### Recommended Blog Post [![](https://blog.v12footwear.com/hubfs/Hyrax%20from%20V12%20Footwear%20-%20Lightweight%20Safety%20Boot-1.jpg)](https://blog.v12footwear.com/why-should-i-wear-the-safety-boots-issued-by-my-employer) #### [Why Should I Wear the Safety Boots Issued by My Employer?](https://blog.v12footwear.com/why-should-i-wear-the-safety-boots-issued-by-my-employer) [Read Article](https://blog.v12footwear.com/why-should-i-wear-the-safety-boots-issued-by-my-employer) [![](https://blog.v12footwear.com/hubfs/Header%20-%20V12%20Footwear.png)](https://blog.v12footwear.com/should-safety-boots-be-tight-or-loose) #### [Should Safety Boots Be Tight or Loose?](https://blog.v12footwear.com/should-safety-boots-be-tight-or-loose) [Read Article](https://blog.v12footwear.com/should-safety-boots-be-tight-or-loose) [![](https://blog.v12footwear.com/hubfs/Auto%20Header.png)](https://blog.v12footwear.com/top-features-to-look-for-in-safety-footwear-for-mechanics) #### [Mechanics’ Safety Footwear Guide: Anti-Slip, Composite Toecaps & Other Must-Have Features](https://blog.v12footwear.com/top-features-to-look-for-in-safety-footwear-for-mechanics) [Read Article](https://blog.v12footwear.com/top-features-to-look-for-in-safety-footwear-for-mechanics) ![v12footwear-logo](https://blog.v12footwear.com/hubfs/v12footwear-logo.avif) Innovative and award-winning safety footwear, designed for comfort and built to endure. #### Follow Us -
