Introducing Lynx - the New Waterproof Safety Boot

Written by Matthew Roberts | 10/01/22 17:08

We’re super excited to show you the new Lynx range - high performance boots for people in high performance roles. We want to tell you how we’ve made these ultra-comfortable and durable waterproof boots – and why we know you’re going to love them.

RESEARCH AND FEEDBACK

We wanted to have the most accurate understanding of what people want from their safety boots, so we compiled evidence taken from an independent survey of 600 people working in industries where foot safety is essential. This feedback allowed us to create a boot which is absolutely bursting with safety and comfort benefits.

WHAT OUR SAMPLE GROUP SAID
  • Many said that the waterproofing of their current boot led to hot, uncomfortable feet which couldn’t ‘breathe’ in warmer weather.

  • 98% of people said that COMFORT and FIT were the things which most influenced them when purchasing safety footwear.

  • The majority of people are in their boots 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. This works out at over 2,000 hours per year – showing just how vital safety and comfort are when it comes to footwear.

THEY SPOKE, WE LISTENED: KEY FEATURES OF THE LYNX RANGE

WATERPROOFING

Waterproof boots keep moisture out because of the plastic lining used, but this can often mean that feet get hot and uncomfortable, particularly when conditions are warmer. The Lynx boot features the Sympatex waterproof membrane which keeps water out, but equally keeps feet cool in warmer conditions. With this superior breathability, your foot safety and foot comfort are guaranteed every time.

COMFORT FOR LONGER

The Lynx’s insoles feature innovative open cell technology, which keeps feet dry by actively pulling moisture away from the foot. Additionally, while many boots have closed cell insoles which can flatten over time, open cell insoles maintain their shape for longer, so your comfort level lasts much longer.

INTELLIGENT GRIP

In 2020, it rained 47% of the year. That’s nearly every other day - so the importance of reliable grip when walking on wet and slippery surfaces can’t be underestimated. Furthermore, did you know most slips happen when a change of surface occurs? That’s why all Lynx boots come with our IGS (Intelligent Grip System), a sole that limits slips, trips and falls and keeps you firmly on the path to safety with its superior traction.

JUST WHEN YOU THOUGHT THERE COULDN’T BE MORE SAFETY FEATURES...

  • The Lynx’s composite anti-penetration midsole aids flexibility, reduces boot fatigue as well as protecting your foot from dangerous objects such as upturned nails.
  • A long-lasting composite toecap gives you more safety and more peace of mind.
